Hate having clients on the west coast, got a 4pm meeting thrown at me while I was at lunch.

Westlaw is hosting a webinar about how to make guacamole. They sent out little kits, for free, ahead of time.

The chef came on with a big sombrero and bushy Mexican mustache. Isn't that, like, a racist microaggression or something?

I'm not sure I should be participating in this, especially at work.

Yeah, and it's pretty "woke," too. But Westlaw put on the webinar, I think only a few of us (all in the general counsel's office) tuned in.

I'm presently at the courthouse waiting to be dismissed from jury duty. The only trial today is a civil case, probably personal injury - no one will want me on that jury.

Anyone hear about this? I read the oped this morning and it seemed harsh - this ceo of Washingtonian magazine said if workers don’t come back to the office they should be paid as contractors - and now her workers are basically on strike. While I hate to side with self important beltway insider journalists, i can sort of see their point. Some of her stuff about helping/mentoring coworkers and casual convos can still happen remotely
