Peaky Blinders... Yay or nay?
Starts off pretty strong, but I think it fades. It's been a while, though.
Season 1 - Very good.
Season 2 - Good, not great.
Season 3 - Boring as shit.

There's a derivative I'd not thought of, "EpileptiCus".

Don't know if it was discussed, but the second season of Mindhunter was pretty good. Charles Manson and the Atlanta child murders have prominent roles.

I really enjoyed season 1. Recently heard an interview with the guy that the main character is based on discussing the Atlanta child murders. He is fascinating.

Yeah, Mindhunter season 1 was very good. Have season 2 in the qeue but got sidetracked by rewatching Downton Abbey again.

While still not a great show, I enjoyed the new episode of Knightfall well enough.

Oh and Mark Hamill is in it

Anybody see the first episode of The Righteous Gemstones?

It has a good premise, but a little too over the top. I'll wait an see how the next few episodes turn out.

The gemstones is at the top of my to watch list. Also, watching season 2 of succession. It’s good.

Watched about half of the first episode of this whilst waiting my daughter to get ready to go out.

Couple of interesting twists early on, enough that I'll go back and finish watching.

Also, Mayans MC returns Sept 3.

I had so much time between episodes, by the end, I had a hard time staying interested in Mayans. The characters just weren't as interesting, either.

Mindhunter season 2 is great so far.

LOL, why even watch TV since everything bores you or you hate it?

A lot of things entertain me. I just said yesterday I was enjoying Knightfall. In this case, it's hard not to compare Mayans to SoA.

I get that, I had that problem early on with The Pacific; it was a lot different than Band Of Brothers but as I got accustomed to it as a stand-alone it got easier. Mayans MC isn't going to be SoA with brown people. It's a stand-alone, approach it that way and it'll get better.

I was a little surprised that Mayans wasn't about the Mayans we knew in SoA but I realized that would've been too close, people WOULD'VE had too much trouble separating it from SoA so Sutter had to make it about a different chapter.

1699.Juggs » Thu Aug 22, 2019 3:34 pm

Not really. The characters just weren't as engaging. I get why and how it was down. Sutter just didnt hit a home run with it probably because there aren't enough known Mexican actors to carry it like SoA had
