The "New" Xbox1X will be coming out soon and you could grab a regular Xbox1 for probably $150 or less. Ive had mine for 3 years or so and the only gripes I have is the one I bought didn't have the max memory. I bought a 1TB external that hooks up to it with USB and haven't had many issues with memory after that. What does suck about Xbox1 games is you have to download them to the console, hence the need for a lot of memory. I think GTAV alone took up half of what memory was built in to the system. The only other gripe I have with it outside of your regular apps is there is no "browser" so good luck looking at porn.
You have to download games? You can't just go buy a fucking disc anymore?
You still buy a disc, you just have to install them and they take up a lot of space.

Not much. There are some games still on disc, but everything is moving away from it.

I'm not sure how consoles work, but if I buy a game for the PC and later delete it or, as was the case not long ago, had to restore my PC to factory settings, I can go download those games again since I already paid for them. I would hope purchasing games online for a console would be similar. You establish an account and what you've purchased is available.

Their way to prevent letting friends borrow a disc or something? Sounds like a pain in the ass.

You have to do both, unless you buy a digital copy which just downloads. If you buy the disc it has to install a certain amount to your memory and you need the disc to play it. Each game takes up a couple of gigs easily. I think most of them now come with 500GB minimum, but I would still recommend the external memory. No clue why I'm so stuck on Xbox, I guess Ive had one for so long I didn't want to switch consoles entirely.

And done. $315 for slim PS4 with Uncharted and the completed version of Witcher that includes the mods. Be here in 2 days.

So I get to play it Tuesday when I don't have my kid

Back when I was single again and addicted to Skyrim, I'd stay my ass home to play and sometimes drink. These days (last 2 years) I'm dropping at least $100 a week on booze/bars. Shit is putting a hurtin' on me. Trying to use these games as a distraction again.
