Back to thinking about getting a system. PS4 vs Xbox 1? And how big of a hard drive do I really need? I don't have intentions of living on the thing or playing a ton of games. 3 or 4 games like Skyrim, Red Dead Redemption, etc.

No idea on the PS4 but I like my Xbox 1. Has quite a few apps for watching HBO, Showtime, etc. I don't know the HDD size on mine but I do remember that it is at 63% capacity.

I hope I helped. :teef:

Recently started playing CoD again... forgot how much I suck at that game.

Jr has the PS4 and it seems like a good system. I have not messed with the X-Box 1 so I can't say.

Agreed.
they come out with new systems every few years meanwhile my PC that I built 6 years ago still plays all modern games. I upgraded the video card 2 years ago but that was way cheaper than a new system.

I get hand-me-down upgrades from Jr. He upgrades his machine and then I get whatever he took out. Usually.

Mods. Mods can make PC gaming exceed anything that can be done on a console.

Yep. A fully modded Skyrim at 60fps is beautiful.

I have no idea. Are the Xbone or PS4 backwards compatible? That's another huge reason to not buy consoles.

I don't think he's looking to take over the gaming world. A console would most likely be fine.

Besides, doesn't a decent gaming system cost quite a bit more than a console?

Yes, from what I read.

So how much to build a gaming pc? Cheaper than $250?

Definitely not. $500 is probably as cheap as you want to go. I'd honestly only build one if you needed a new PC for multiple reasons. If it's strictly for games and you don't have to have the newest console every time they come out then get a console. Games are cheaper for PC though.

Exactly. I can get the Uncharted bundle of PS4 for under $300. Don't know if that game lived up to the hype, but it looked cool.

I'd probably buy 1 game a year, maybe 6 months lol. I definitely want to get Red Dead 2. And the last GTA of course. And after watching a modded out Skyrim, I'd love to have that. From there I'm meh

The "New" Xbox1X will be coming out soon and you could grab a regular Xbox1 for probably $150 or less. Ive had mine for 3 years or so and the only gripes I have is the one I bought didn't have the max memory. I bought a 1TB external that hooks up to it with USB and haven't had many issues with memory after that. What does suck about Xbox1 games is you have to download them to the console, hence the need for a lot of memory. I think GTAV alone took up half of what memory was built in to the system. The only other gripe I have with it outside of your regular apps is there is no "browser" so good luck looking at porn.

You have to download games? You can't just go buy a fucking disc anymore?
