That would be one hell of a ringing endorsement for UF. I know I'm just repeating myself but Toney's transformation is nothing short of miraculous. Billy G can fucking coach WR.

Yeah, a few tried, BG got it done in a big way

Ryan Wilson continues to make me mock angry with his picks. Dolphins not getting Sewell or Chase makes me mad as he has Sewell to Jets at 2 and then Miami taking OL Slater.
Then he has Pitts at New England at #15. Fuck that. And Toney to Bears at #20.

Though I'm not overly enthusiastic about all the trades this writer uses in his mock, his write-up on Pitts is one of the best in terms of talking how great he is at catching the ball and and also praising his blocking and athleticism. It's a great write-up (see below). He has Pitts to the Giants at 11.
And I absolutely love the thought of the Dolphins getting Toney with the 18th pick. This writer also has Miami trading out of the #3 pick to the Chargers. That has them picking #13 and #18 in his mock. Not sure what else Miami would get, because there's absolutely nothing noted in here besides them getting the #13 pick for that. LOL. So, that's not gonna happen without some sweetener from the Chargers.

Kyle Pitts is one of the most dominant receiving prospects we’ve seen at the tight end position. Travis Kelce was a third-round selection. Darren Waller was a receiver convert from college, and he plays at a different level than guys like Noah Fant.

Pitts is a legitimate X-receiver in a tight end’s frame. He can line up out wide and use his frame and athleticism as a deep threat down the sideline. Pitts can sink his hips and separate on whip and return routes underneath. He can be a menace over the short middle area of the field because of his length.

What isn’t discussed enough, however, is his abilities as a blocker. He is more than just a glorified receiver. This young man puts in the work when he has his hand in the dirt.

Pitts is not necessarily a people mover, but he is very often in the correct position to use his leverage to seal running lanes for backs. Admittedly, the fit with OC Jason Garrett should scare some out there who remember years of six-yard Jason Witten option routes. Nevertheless, the Giants desperately need weapons on offense, and Pitts offers just that in this 2021 2-round NFL mock draft.

this can be a colossal time waster. and because no player is a 100% lock to go at any spot you'll randomly see shit like trevor lawence falling to #9 lol

Trapasso has Pitts to NYG at 11 and Toney to Indy at 21.

Another CBS dude has Pitts to Panthers at 8. And via a mock trade, the Jags will also get Toney at 25 to pair with T-Law.

Here's one of the dumber and lazier ones. Pitts to NE at 15, because "there wasn't a right landing spot" for him. Also, he mocks some trades. No Toney either as no other landing spots. This is when I need to stop reading these.

Ryan Wilson's updated mock. Pitts to Cincy at 5 as "best pass catcher in the draft". :) Toney to Packers at 29.
https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/new ... n-round-1/

Pitts at 8 here to Carolina. Packers here again for Toney. I feel like all the analyst want this or the Chiefs to happen just so they can see the magic.
https://www.pff.com/news/draft-2021-nfl ... marr-chase

Pitts to NYG at 11. They have Toney falling to round 2 here at 53 to the Titans. NE taking Trask in 4th round.

I'm only posting shitty mock draft takes. Now, they're shitty to me because who knows, this shit is all guessing. But, if I see someone with a dumb-ass hot take, I'll post it here.
https://www.profootballnetwork.com/2021 ... ebruary/2/

Toney to Dolphins at 18 and then Pitts to Washington Football Squadron Team Club at 19.

Miami takes Toney over Pitts, even though Pitts is the better player by a wide margin. But because they have a good tight end, they won't take Pitts (even though comparing him to Gesicki isn't exactly fair). And there is no reason why the author's "top 10" talent in Pitts falls this far. Other than it made for him to have a different take probably.

Here's a mock where the writer can't even remember where he's projecting the player.
https://www.pff.com/news/draft-2021-moc ... aun-watson

12. SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS: TE KYLE PITTS, FLORIDA
Pairing Pitts with George Kittle, Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk and Kyle Shanahan’s brain is an opportunity too good to pass up. That right there would be a scary personnel package to defend.

Pitts generated a 96.2 PFF grade this year, more than five grading points higher than any other tight end and well above the previous record set by former FAU Owl and now-Cleveland Brown Harrison Bryant in 2019 (92.5). The Giants receiving corps was one of the worst in the NFL in 2020 — the selection of Pitts goes a long way toward changing that.

The versatile tight end played just shy of 64% of his offensive snaps inline, but he dominated unlike any other tight end we had ever seen when he lined up out wide in single coverage. Pitts went toe-to-toe with press coverage when lined up out wide for 40 receiving snaps this season and came away with seven explosive receptions of 15-plus yards on those opportunities. We have never seen a tight end record more than two of those in a single year before Pitts this season.

Haha. It's corrected now. Must have been thinking of the baseball team.

Was thinking that or the fact that the Giants have the pick before the 49ers.

You have to love "anonymous" NFL scouts who love to shit on dudes because they have other interests. Been seeing Toney fall down in a couple of mocks and it appears the puss patrol has struck again.
https://www.si.com/college/florida/foot ... criticized
“Basically, they tailored a package to his skill set. ‘We’re going to do these routes and get the ball in your hands.’ I kind of liked the kid. He was very real. He’s got some swagger. He actually has, like, two (recorded) albums and three additional singles. It’s a concern whether he has enough commitment to do it at this level with all the stuff he has going on.”

When is the real draft?
Next month.

And now Pitts has given all these top 10 teams another reason to question taking just another WR or shit, any other pick they were thinking about. Dude ran a 4.46 at a workout. At his size, that's...ridiculous.

some of the vitriol towards him last year was a bit much and he would be an attractive pick in the later rounds, but that would basically put him in the top 50

He has physical gifts, for sure. But he gets beat for the ball too often in my opinion. And yes, he obviously got a lot of vitriol (much of it deserved) and that has def clouded partial people.

52:20 » Thu Mar 25, 2021 1:12 pm
He didn't get better, maybe even got worse since his freshman year. Maybe it was the injury. He was usually close to making a play, but he was always a half second behind it seemed.

With all the Dolphins, Eagles and 49ers trade stuff...shake-ups!!! Pitts falls to 12 due to the run on QBs, WRs and OL anticipated. Toney to GB at 29. This mock also has Trask to Saints with #99 comp pick.
https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/new ... laymakers/

In this one, Pitts goes a pick higher after a similar predicted run of players. Giants take him over Waddle. No Toney in this one.
https://www.nfl.com/news/lance-zierlein ... -trading-d

In this PFF mock, 4 QBs in a row to start the draft: Lawrence, Wilson, Fields and Lance. And then boom, Pitts to Cincy at 5. Austin Gayle loves Pitts. See write-up below. Toney falls to Cards in round 2.
https://www.pff.com/news/draft-two-roun ... ti-bengals
While there is a chance a team is desperate enough to inquire about the Bengals’ pick at No. 5 in an attempt to secure Mac Jones, I expect there to be a calmer market for the former ‘Bama quarterback’s services. And if that is the case and the team’s phone isn’t ringing with trade-down offers, Cincinnati should sprint the card in for Florida tight end Kyle Pitts.

Pitts and former Oregon offensive tackle Penei Sewell are similar in that they’re both arguably the best prospects we’ve seen at their respective positions in five-plus years. You can’t go wrong with either player at No. 5 overall, but the bigger impact in the wins column (and Joe Burrow’s development) comes with adding Pitts as a weapon for the offense than securing Sewell's services as an upgrade over either former first-round pick Jonah Williams or newly signed veteran Riley Reiff.

Pitts can immediately be the Bengals’ top receiving option and a top-five tight end in the NFL as a rookie — he’s that good.
