The Honorable Representative from Pennsylvania thinks it's too hot to train there.
Rep. Chrissy Houlahan, D-Pa., said she did some field training at Tyndall when she was in the Air Force. She questioned whether the climate in Florida was conducive to training given that servicemembers often lose training days due to the heat.
Because, you know, we only fight where the climate is conducive.

Yeah, that's a pretty lame argument.

Does this mean flight will be stationed in Alaska permanently?

Feels like the representative from Pa is looking to add an Air Force base to her home turf.

I remember after Andrew, they threatened to shutdown Homestead permanently too, but then turned it into a Reserve base.

Looking at the list, Pa doesn't have one.

Spain has one named after Reb.

if you look over time a lot of the northern states losing population have lost bases and growing southern & western states have gained them as they have gained seats and power. When you think about how far planes can go now vs. the past, it seems like there a lot we don't actually need anymore.
