512 Pecan Porter (6.2) is a tasty standard here in restaurants and bars but they don't bottle. Just went to the grocery store and explored their growler bar for the first time. They have about two dozen mostly hard to get local beers. I bought a small growler of 512 whiskey barrel aged DOUBLE Pecan Porter (8.2). Excellent. Its like throwing a turbocharger on your old car.

Agree. The flavors of whiskey are far too overbearing and ruin the beer

I keep trying them and occasionally find one that doesn’t over do it. But they are usually too damn pricey to keep trying. But regular imperial stouts have pretty much ruined most other stouts and porters for me.

I had some rum aged in cognac barrels and was fantastic. Whiskified beer sounds terrible.

I tried the Budweiser version. Shitty beer squared.

I had one of these in Marfa - mostly for the name. Good beer. But...check out the pop top. First one of these I have seen.

Imagine opening that beer after you've had too many. You'd think you turned into some sort of super human.

Trader Joe’s Audaciter abbey style blonde ale.

Tasty. Not a shock though since it’s brewed by Unibroue

Do you love Lucky Charms so much that you would like the marshmallowy cereal taste in your beer?

Smartmouth Beer is introducing its Saturday Morning Marshmallow IPA on March 2 in an all-day event that will also showcase trivia and food vendors.
