Every time I look at items on Amazon, which is often, I'm baffled at the sheer stupidity of people and reasons they remove stars from a product.
Today's highlight is for a 2 unit wireless meat thermometer. Mr. TexasRancher says it's awesome, but he had to remove a star because it requires 2 sets of batteries.
What the fucking fuck. It's 2 units! Did you think one of them was going to run on solar power? Or maybe the probe unit magically steals energy from the unit in the kitchen?

Would be pretty bad ass if one unit was also a Tesla coil.

Or the ones that give it one star because they bought the wrong thing.

Yep. People knocking the quality of a product because of their own stupidity just amazes me. If it's a relatively recent review, I'll call them out on it

"I bought 5 smoke alarms for my home and wish they would use the same 9 volt battery."
2 Stars removed.

On a related note, my wife bought me one of those
rechargeable Tesla coil lighters for Christmas and it's pretty badass. Makes me wish I was a smoker.

It's neat, but I've heard it's near impossible to light anything that's not a cigarette.

I lit a fire in my fireplace with it.

I got the Maverick ET733. It’s pretty awesome

I only write amazon reviews if it's negative
I'm more likely to just respond to people's stupid comments and mock/call them out there like I did on the in the op

Today's stupid review read - 3 out of 5 stars. The product (a 4 cup grease container w/ strainer) is well built, sturdy, etc. etc. etc. The problem is that is no big enough to hold all the grease from the deep fryer.
The product says clear as day, 4 cup volume. He just gave himself 3 stars for his own stupidity of trying to fit an entire deep fryers worth of oil into a bacon grease container

I'm going to get banned from amazon one day for my comments to stupid reviews.

Definitely not worth... especially after they devour every last bit of competition

yeah I'd be in trouble without amazon. My recycling has amazon boxes almost every week
