volnation is pretty pissed about this
A little help for the Twitter-disabled?
BREAKING: Tennessee and running backs coach Robert Gillespie have parted ways. Jeremy Pruitt will begin a search for a new running backs coach immediately.
I'm glad he's leaving them. Unless he's going to Georgia or FSU. Then I half-hate him again.

Georgia overwhelming favorite to win the East and this writer is pretty dismissive of Florida, save for a couple throwaway comments.

Dooley's "Back Nine: Stability a key for return to Gator glory."
http://www.gatorsports.com/2018/02/back ... tor-glory/
10. After a woeful pun invoking "Vitale" he waxes nostalgic about the Gators football program and why we are so anxious to be good again. You know, because we've been so good before.
11. He kind of gets and doesn't get why Florida's RPI is low.
12. NCAA tournament selection committee is consistently inconsistent.
13. The SEC tourney in St. Louis is must-see television even though St. Louis hardly feels SEC-ian. Also, Gators need to root for Kentucky if they want any shot at winning the conference.
14. Officials are baffling and the T on the kid who dunked too hard was their latest pussy move. Among others.
15. A German Shepherd is out at Westminster because his ear flops kind of funny.
16. Not much Olympics talk because Dools ain't a cold-weather sports kind o' guy.
17. Jay Bilas has Tweet of the week with his shot at the selection committee's thoughts thus far.
18. Songs including "Radio Gaga" by Queen.

Be sane, youths.
I told you motherfuckers!

I can’t stand listening to some guys prattling on like they are privy to top secret squirrel info. I’d rather read something than listening or watching tv people make noise.

Todd Grantham and Sal Sunseri had press conferences today if anyone's interested. Video isn't up yet on floridagators.com but I suspect it will be shortly.

This. It's why I do the basic aggregating much of the time. I can't read all these fucking links. And to your point about podcasts, yes, you're right. I should be able to listen to them. But I end up settling for music or just background tv/movies. I'm not really paying attention, it's just there to drown out the deafening silence or the prattling that can go on around me.

Grantham explains his basic philosophy on D and what it means for Gators.
https://www.seccountry.com/florida/flor ... philosophy
“We’re a 3-4 structure, but in reality we play as much four-down [linemen] as three-down. I mean if you were to look at our tape last year, we’d have looked a lot like your guys looked structurally at times during the game,” he said. “By being a three-down structure, it allows us to play three-down and four-down fronts, give us multiple looks, which I think you need to do today in college football to try to put the offense behind the sticks and to create negative yardage plays.”
The shlink of shlinks which includes snippets of above shlink to lead off.

Can Florida land a 5-star prospect in 2019 class? You know, assuming Georgia doesn't land all of them.
https://www.seccountry.com/florida/flor ... 2019-class
Running back Trey Sanders, however, is the only one from the state of Florida who is uncommitted. Right now, I think he would be the Gators’ best bet for a 5-star recruit.
He's an IMG kid, so that would be doubly impressive.

Non-con schedule now has Miami at Camping World stadium on 8/31, this game in Gainesville on 9/7, and of course the assholes on 11/30 in Gainesville.

How Gators' new coach resembles past national champions.
http://gridironnow.com/dan-mullen-resem ... champions/
Now, Buddy Martin is old and he readily admits that many of us are prone to gushing over Mullen after what we just experienced under Mac. So take that under consideration before you read his list of why Mullen is the next Gator football Jesus.
1. A brilliant offensive football mind (both Spurrier and Meyer) I agree.
2. Sensational play-caller (Spurrier) Many will recollect their love/hate with the dive play, but I agree.
3. Strategic, has a plan to win (Meyer) I think most coaches have "a plan" it's just many of them suck.
4. Can develop three-star prospects into four- and five-star players (Both) He did do this at MSU and at UF.
5. Super-competitive and hates to lose (both) I think those goes for almost all coaches.
6. Passionate (both) Again, see #5. I think Mac started as passionate, he just has a douche persona.
7. Thrilled to be on the job at Florida and makes football fun (Spurrier) Yes, this.
8. A superb recruiter (Meyer) I don't know if I'm in the "superb" boat, yet. Yet.
9. Loves the challenge of being the underdog (Spurrier) Yeah, I see him embracing this.
10. Swagger: Cocky, brash, gutsy (Spurrier) Yeah, I agree here.

One thing I want to see again....during the spurrier era, our teams walked on the field KNOWING they would win, while our opponent HOPED they would win ...

I want to see the Swamp make it legitimately on lists of places teams "hate to play" and are just in fucking awe of being there.
